Run Like a Mother by Dimity McDowell & Sarah Bowen Shea

Inspired by my new love for running and thirst to learn more about it and how to be better at it... I searched for the perfect beginning running book for women and found something even better - one written for moms by moms.

Broken up into 26 easy to read chapters each with a .2 section after it. 26.2 a.k.a. the distance of a marathon. The chapters vary from helping you find the right gear, to running while pregnant, to getting the hubs on board with your new running regime and then to the funny, how/when to go to the bathroom during a race. Basically all the need to know things about running that you wanted to know about but were too afraid to ask plus more like the fun music playlist ideas.

Run Like a Mother is a great mix of funny, heartwarming and encouraging stories and lots of applicable advice. I loved this book and highly recommend it to the beginner mommy runner! It would even make a great Mother's Day gift. Maybe paired with chocolate and some cute running shoes of course ;)
